Unfortunately we are not able to update your credit file - that is up to your original creditor. The type of creditor and type of debt will determine which credit reference agencies they use and what information they report.

If they do report to credit reference agencies, it's likely that your score will already have been negatively impacted due to missed payments before your debt was passed to Ophelos. If you set up a payment plan or clear this debt with us, we tell the original creditor and they are responsible for updating your score. This will likely have a positive impact on your overall credit score.
