Today is Time To Talk Day, run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in England in partnership with Co-op.
β
The day aims to encourage family, friends and colleagues to talk openly about mental health. One in four people experience a mental health problem in any one year - thatβs someone in every family, workplace and friendship circle.
β
Talking and listening about mental health has the power to change lives. Each conversation we have contributes to reducing mental health stigma, helping to create supportive communities where we can talk openly about mental health and feel empowered to seek help when we need it.
β
We invest heavily in maintaining wellbeing at Ophelos and we're really excited to share our latest move...
β
Weβve integrated mental health support service Spill into our company!
β
Spill allows our colleagues to speak to trained therapists any day of the week, either via a Slack message, a one-off session, or an entire course. They encourage us to speak up about any problems or worries we have, however big or small, work-related or otherwise.
β
Spill also helps us to take weekly check-ins with our colleagues via a short questionnaire on how weβre feeling that week. If anyone seems to be having a difficult time, Spill will suggest booking a session with a therapist.
β
It's no secret that happier colleagues results in better productivity, fewer sick days, increased motivation and higher performance, so ensuring that our colleagues have great mental wellbeing support systems improves our business as a whole.
β
Debt resolution can be a difficult sector to work in, with many of our users being in vulnerable or distressing situations. We owe it to our colleagues to support them through difficult times, just as we owe it to our users to provide them with a resilient, positive and empathetic team.
