What happens once I pay?

Once you have paid fully, we tell the original creditor that your balance has been settled. This will often mean that the original creditor will update your credit file to reflect that the debt has been paid. It is likely that this will improve your overall credit score, though it depends on whether or not the original creditor reports to credit reference agencies.

When you have paid in full, we stop contacting you. You will still be able to keep track of any payments made through your Ophelos account if you created one.
